Timeless Romance (Chinese: 超時空要愛) is a 1998 Hong Kong comedy film directed by David Lai and Jeffrey Lau.  The film won "Best Screenplay" and "Film of Merit" at the 1999 Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards.

Timeless Romance (Chinese: 超時空要愛) (1998)

Liu Yi Lu(Tony Leung) is a cop and he received an unknown call from a stranger that if he manages to convince a girl from not committing suicide, it will be a turning point in his later. Later, he is transported to the era of the Three Kingdoms and became Zhu Ge Liang. When he returns to present time, he is not able to bring back Suqun. He becomes despair and quits his job as a cop. He later is killed by a gunshot while trying to avenge for Suqun.
