Sypnosis

Wei Wuxian was a hated cultivator of demonic and dark arts. After his tragic death, he was being resurrected 16 years later which reunited him with the people of his previous life, including his soulmate Lan Wangji who was a quiet natured man born in a noble family. Wei Wuxian remembered his past when he started as a cultivator to his involvement with the dark arts.

In Wei Wuxian’s past life while he was still a teenager, a series of unfortunate event forced him to give away his power in order to save Jiang Cheng’s life. The weakened Wei Wuxian was being tortured by the evil Qishan Wen Sect which he managed to escape and returned some months later as a man practicing demonic cultivation. Lan Wangji tried to stop Wei Wuxian from practicing the dark arts but to no avail. Wei Wuxian lost his credibility and reputation and turned into an outcast overnight. Only Lan Wangji stood by him and tried every means to help him quit the evil ways.However, after killing and harming hundreds of people during the battles of Nightless City, he jumped off a cliff and ended his own life.

When Wei Wu Xian was resurrected, he bore the plan of taking revenge. Though he was identified as Mo Xuan Yu, it did not prevent Lan Wangji from recognizing Wei Wu Xian at first sight, one who he had greatly missed for many years. Both of them solved the mysteries of murders which revealed to be related to the tragic past.

The Untamed (Chinese: 陈情令) is a 2019 Chinese television series adapted from the xianxia novel Mo Dao Zu Shi by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, starring Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo. The series is about the adventures of two soulmate cultivators travelling to solve a series of mysteries that are linked to a tragic event in the past.
