Highlighted Soundtrack

Once Upon An Ordinary Girl(Chinese: 儂本多情) is a 1984 Hong Kong Romance TV series. It stars Leslie Cheung as Si Yu, Kiki Sheung as Siu Long and Susanna Kwan as Tong YIng. This is Leslie Cheung's first drama series with TVB. The story is adapted from a novel by Eileen Chang (張愛玲) and is set in the 1940s during the World War 2.

When Siu Long parents died, she came under the guardianship of her aunt Tong Ying (Susanna Kwan). She met the uninhibited Si Yu (Leslie Cheung) and they eventually get married.  Siu Long later found out that her entire marriage was engineered by Tong Ying to much of her dismay. Feeling betrayed, Siu Long hatched a plan to take revenge on Tong Ying. Tong Ying died in a car accident indirectly caused by Siu Long. This had led Siu Long being ostracized by her friends and Si Yu was disgusted by the atrocities committed by Siu Long. Si Yu and Siu Long were separated and Siu Long became all alone. When the Japanese Army attacked Hong Kong,  Siu Long decided to consume poisoned wine to end her own life before Si Yu returned.
