New Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre 1986(Chinese:倚天屠龍記) is a Hong Kong television series adapted from Louis Cha's novel The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber. The series was first broadcast on TVB Jade in Hong Kong in 1986. It stars Tony Leung as Zhang Wu Ji, Kitty Lai as Zhao Min and Sheren Tang as Zhou Zhi Ruo.

It is about the story of Zhang Wu Ji as he transformed from an ordinary man to an accomplished and all rounded martial artist. During his adventure, he met Zhao Min, a cunning but beautiful Mongolian princess and Zhou Zhi Ruo, a seemingly sweet priestess in training. Zhang Wu Ji became the leader of a "demon" sect and wanted to bridge the gap between "demon" sects and the "righteous" sects. He also protected his godfather's whereabouts from those who wanted to learn of the Dragon Saber's secrets.
