The beauty of Squid Game isn't in its death game. The beauty of Squid Game is in how it portrays its characters: there aren't any over-the-top geniuses; people with amazing athleticism that puts Olympians to shame; there aren't any overly virtuous people; just people who want to survive. The most kind-hearted person is Gi Hoon, yet even he's not willing to sacrifice his own life for another because he has reasons to live for. At best, he will lower his odds of survival or give up his winnings if he can bring others along with him. This is a highly realistic representation of humanity."This drama is at the top of all heartfelt korean dramas. This is not a drama, it is something beyond you have ever seen. It speaks to your heart and makes you a better human being. Simply , a masterpiece. Acting, directing, screen writing, cinematography, Music and the OST and everything is so beautifully done it is almost unbelievable."- Metta Loving Kindness

"This is the first K-drama I've seen where the fictional characters symbolize something so real and relatable. Their weaknesses, struggles, trauma, and brokenness... and then to take all that grittiness and turn it into healing... truly a masterpiece. It will be difficult to surpass. "- Catherine Black

Lyrics

Song: 아직 너의 시간에 살아(In Your Time)
Artist: 이수현 (Lee SuHyun)

Forevermore, forevermore I cry
Forevermore, forevermore I cry
Forevermore, forevermore I cry
Forevermore, forevermore I cry

English translation:

The story remains so cold
It’s still so clear to me
In those fairy-tale like times
I’m only filled with fear of being left behind

I’m going to try to let go of this frozen heart
So I can find the lost times

After meeting you once again
I’m finding the pieces of you that have been erased
Past the painful times
I’m holding onto you
I’m still living in your time

Forever more, forever more, I cry
Forever more, forever more, I cry

All the feelings you gave to me
Now I’ll give it back to you and fill you up

Let me hold you
So I can erase your sadness and painful memories

After meeting you once again
I’m finding the pieces of you that have been erased
Past the painful times
I’m holding onto you
I’m still living in your time

I’m afraid you’re still in pain
I’m afraid you’re still waiting for me
So I still can’t erase you
I’m still pacing back and forth in that place

After meeting you once again
I’m finding the pieces of you that have been erased
Past the painful times
I’m holding onto you
I’m still living in your time

Forever more, forever more, I cry
Forever more, forever more, I cry

"This drama is a revolution in the history of kdramas. I've watched countless cliches that were predictable. But this drama is a masterpiece that I couldn't figure out at any point. Plus, the subject of traumas, autism, letting your inner child grow up and finding solace within people who hurt you and heal you at the same time has never been created in such a harmony before. Amazing soundtracks too. I will forever love this drama." - Ghina Iqbal
