The story sets in the 1960s and it is about a reporter named Ahn(Tony Leung). Ahn is a righteous reporter who reveals corruption within the police force, so some of the corrupt cops set out to frame him for drug distribution. Ahn confesses to the crime when his family is being targeted and threatened. Once in jail, Ahn experienced all sorts of trials and punishment in prison.
